 Eli Elias

Principal

Mr. Elias is currently a Principal at Kalorama Partners, and joined the firm in 2010.  Since joining the firm, he has focused on the implications for public companies and financial services firms of the financial reforms to which they are subject as a result of the passage of the Dodd-Frank Act.  In particular, Mr. Elias has advised boards of directors and managements of public companies regarding corporate governance matters, and has assisted clients in negotiating governance settlements as part of major securities class-action litigations.

 

Mr. Elias earned his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School in 2011.  Prior to earning his law degree, he studied Ancient Near Eastern Studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.  In 2003, Mr. Elias graduated from the University of Pennsylvania magna cum laude with a B.A. in History.

 

Before joining Kalorama, Mr. Elias gained valuable experience in a broad range of sectors, both domestic and international.  These include, among other things, working at a major investment bank’s London derivatives desk, developing healthcare programming in urban areas of Nepal with local non-profit organizations, and teaching classical Judaic literature in Israel.

 

Mr. Elias is currently admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey, and his application for admission to the bar of the State of New York is pending.
